The 5 member Housing Advisory Committee was created in 2020 to address the task of creating policy and programs related to the provision of Local Housing in the McCall Area (housing units at all price points and of various style available to members of the local Workforce and year-round, Residential community). In June of 2022, the Housing Advisory Recommended approval and adoption of the McCall Area Local Housing Action Plan to guide the process of implementing the Policies and Programs identified by the HAC over the course of their 2 years. On November 3, 2022, the McCall City Council adopted by resolution the creation of a Housing Authority as the new body to manage and address the tasks identified in the Local Housing Action Plan. Based on these successes in completing the task of designing a road map for forward movement, the Housing Advisory Committee was dissolved on November 3rd, 2022, with the deepest appreciation for every members' service to the community.
