What is RAPID?
RAPID is the answer to the community's request for better internet connectivity. A faster and cheaper way to get quality internet access to your home or business. RAPID is an open-access network using the City's existing underground fiber.
Why would I want RAPID?
RAPID allows multiple internet providers to offer you high-speed internet services to both residential and commercial customers through a single webpage. Tell us you want more information on RAPID.
What if I'm not interested and want to keep the service I have?
RAPID is an opt-in program. You would never be required or forced into the service.
How much will it cost?
The price structure is made up of three parts. Each part is expected to cost approximately $15 per month.
- City Utility Fee- A monthly fee, only charged if you have ongoing internet service and can be canceled any time.
- Internet Service- A monthly fee, only charged if you have ongoing internet service and can be canceled any time.
- House Connection- A one time fee with option to finance over 20 years or if your property is already connected to fiber there is no house connection fee.
How long until RAPID is available? 
Once the City Council finalizes their approvals, you will be able to use McCall underground fiber network to tap into internet services in as soon as 1 to 2 years.
