INVITATION TO BID
The City of McCall, Idaho is soliciting bids from Idaho Public Works Licensed Contractors at the front desk office of
City Hall at 216 E. Park Street until 3:00 PM MST on Thursday, March 09 for the following project:
Public Boat Ramp Dock Expansion Project 2023
At 3:30 PM, MST on Thursday, March 09 , 2023, all proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the American
Legion Hall, 216 E. Park Street, McCall, Idaho.
The project consists of construction and installation of three new dock systems at the boat ramp and the relocation,
refurbishing, and re-configuration of existing ramp dock systems to the south which will replace the existing EZ dock
(T-Dock) south of the ramp. Work shall also include the removal and disposal of existing EZ T-Dock System. To
accommodate the new dock finger adjacent to and south of the historic ramp dock systems, a cantilevered pier will
need to be constructed along the entire length of the existing concrete retaining wall associated with the beach
volleyball court. The new pier adjacent to the volleyball court will need to be anchored to existing concrete wall and
cantilevered and elevated over existing rock rip rap on helical piers or approved equal. Contractors and or
subcontractors will be required to show or demonstrate previous experience, certifications, or qualifications with
helical pier or approved equal installations.
Joint permits and a mitigation plan are in the approval process with the appropriate governmental agencies to perform
the proposed work. All permitting work will be the responsibility of the owner (City) and not the contractor.
Contractor will be required to perform the work in accordance with permit and bid specifications.
Sets of the documents including the plans, details, and Project Manual (containing Bid forms, bidding instructions
/conditions, draft contract documents, and specifications) will be available on Friday, February 24, 2023 for review at
the City Hall front desk at 216 E. Park Street, 83638, 208-634-7142. Documents will be issued in either a PDF or
paper format.
A pre-bid conference, open to the public, will be held at the American Legion Hall, 216 E. Park Street on Tuesday,
February 28, 2023 at 9:00AM. All potential bidders are highly encouraged to attend or call in given the environmental
constraints and unique nature of this project.
Each bid proposal must be accompanied by cash, a certified check, bid bond, or cashier’s check in the amount not less
than 5% of the total amount bid, payable to the City of McCall. An Idaho Public Works License and documentation
are required to submit a bid.
Any objections to the contents or terms of the bidding instruction and project plans and specifications shall be raised
(3) days prior to the bid opening, or it shall be deemed to have been waived.
The City reserves the right to select any combination of the bid alternatives and or reject any and all bids out right as
budget necessitates.
