Project Name: South Mission Street, South City Limits – Deinhard Lane

Federal Key Number: KN 20146

Prime Contractor: M.A. Deatley Construction, Inc.

Construction Budget:   ~ $3,400,000

Project Funding:            ~$3,150,000     Surface Transportation Program (STP) Rural Grant Funding

                                      ~$250,000         Streets LOT

 

Project Overview:

This project will fully reconstruct South Mission Street from the South City Limits to Deinhard Lane. Specific project components include:

  • CRABS (Cement Recycled Asphalt Base Section) rehabilitation of South Mission Street between the Southern City Limits and Deinhard Lane.
  • Extension of the existing separated pathway south of City Limits to Jacob Street.
  • Addition of bike lanes on both sides of the road (bike lanes are part of separated pathway south of Jacob Street).
  • Drainage improvements along South Mission Street
  • Realigned access to Riverfront Park
  • Addition of a left-turn lane on South Mission Street for westbound Deinhard Lane
  • Addition of a left-turn lane on Deinhard Lane for southbound Mission Street.
  • Repaving of Deinhard Lane and Mission Street intersection.

 

Major Construction Milestones/Current Schedule (subject to change):

  • Construction is anticipated to being June 17, 2024 and will take approximately 67 working days.


Follow the posted detour signs. Pedestrians and cyclists are also urged to exercise caution when navigating the affected areas.

Local businesses and residents are encouraged to plan ahead and make necessary arrangements to minimize any inconvenience caused by the road closure.
