McCall Police Department Release: Mark Dooley Sentenced for the Murder of His Wife

Mark Dooley Sentenced for the Murder of His Wife (PDF) 

McCall, Idaho – September 24, 2024  

Mark Dooley, 56, was sentenced Friday, September 20, 2024, by the Honorable Jason D. Scott for the murder of his wife, Lynne Dooley. Mark was sentenced to 30 years in prison; 22 years – fixed, and 8 years – indeterminate. Mark will serve a minimum of 22 years before he is eligible for parole. Mark pled guilty to 2nd Degree Murder on April 12th of this year.

 

“Our sincerest condolences go out to the family and friends of Lynne. This was a disgusting and intentional criminal act to end the life of another. We will always work diligently to ensure these crimes are properly investigated and criminals are held accountable. The successful conviction and sentencing of Mr. Dooley exemplifies the excellent response of officers, demonstrates the outstanding investigatory work of the Idaho State Police, and highlights the exceptional prosecution by the Valley County Prosecutor’s Office,” said McCall Police Chief Dallas Palmer.
