Tonight - Tuesday November 13th, join us for the last meeting in the educational series: Mining and the Environment. The event begins at 6pm in the Northfork Lodge, 200 Scott St, McCall, ID 83638.

McCall's Council directed city staff to provide the public with opportunities to educate themselves on the proposed Stibnite mining project by Midas Gold. The Stibnite mining district is located in Valley County Idaho, east of the community of Yellow Pine near the East Fork South Fork Salmon River. Although the McCall City Council is not a decision maker in the process, creating a learning portal for citizens and gathering their opinion is important since the project will undoubtedly have effects on our community over the course of many years.

This informational lecture series in which area municipality leaders, cooperating agency officials, community organizations, Midas Gold representatives and specialists in the field are invited to present to the public on mining and their role in the process. The resources experienced during the lecture series will lead the community into the 45 Day Public Comment Period prior to the final Environmental Impact Statement.
