The City of McCall Parks and Recreation Department is embarked on a community-driven effort in 2023 to develop the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan. Much has been accomplished and significant changes have come to McCall since the last Master Plan in 2005.
The planning process evaluated existing resources, participation trends, program needs, park access, community priorities, and city-wide policies to detail an implementable 10-year vision for the Department. While the Plan will primarily focus on opportunities within the City limits and the Impact Area, considerations are given to parks and open space beyond those boundaries that provide a public benefit and can be responsibly managed.
PROS PLAN: McCall Parks, Recreation and Outdoor Space Plan
Commercial concession proposals to operate within public parks and facilities are required to follow a multistep process as outlined in RESOLUTION NO. 11-25 and attachment A: Guidelines for Commercial Activity Concessions Sales within McCall City Parks.
The process involves staff review, a review, and recommendation to City Council by the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, made up of property owners/residents appointed to be a community voice in Parks and Recreation business matters. Concessions then go before City Council for comments and ultimately final approval or disapproval.
